Ambleside one way system - take signs for Keswick
Pass church on left, up Compston Road to lights at the top. Turn right (back to Windermere) through lights (pedestrian) then second left just past the Salutation Hotel at Barclays bank (very narrow opening) bear left up the hill to Stockghyll Falls for approximately 1.4 miles.

Carry on to private road sign and onto the farm at first cattle grid. Pass white bungalow (second grid) and pass Low Grove House and up the hill to the top.
