This lovely cottage was our first creation in 1993 and was converted with great care as we wanted to preserve the atmosphere that all country barns posess. It nestles between Little and High Grove and has its own special views. The Kirkstone Pass and Langdales can be seen from the front windows. At the rear of the cottage there's a beautiful sheltered garden area for you to enjoy barbeques with bench seating and a picnic table view over the farm land to Wansfell rising to 1600 feet. The original beams and lovely Lakeland stone keep alive the atmosphere of the barn and the pine furniture and pretty furnishings make it warm and welcoming.
Inside, a comfortable, cosy lounge with colour television, video and a wonderful electric wood-burning stove and views of surrounding farmland and hills. A well equipped kitchen with electric hob and fan assisted oven, microwave, toaster, fridge, cafetiere and old pine dining suite with stairs leading up to spacious landing off which is main bedroom with superb views, duvet and patchwork quilt for extra cosiness on cooler days. The twin bedded room, with lovely views too, has similar furnishings.
The shower room has a toilet and wash basin, heated towel rail, shaver socket and hair dryer. It has Victorian styling and brass fittings. There are drying and ironing facilities, also washer, freezer, telephone all close by.
Enjoy a glass of wine in the evening in the front garden area we do have quite magnificent sunsets from probably the best views in the lakes.
